Diversity and Inclusion
Cheshire Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers accepts that in society, certain groups or individuals are denied equality on the grounds of race, gender, marital status, caring responsibilities, disability, gender re-assignment, age, social class, sexual orientation and religion/belief or any other factor irrelevant to the purpose in view.
The Guild welcomes and respects people who identify as Black, Indigenous and/or as a Person of Colour (BIPOC). We welcome and respect people of all sexes/genders, including those who identify as non-binary and those who identify as male or female. We welcome and respect people of any sexual orientation. We welcome and respect people with chronic conditions or disabilities whether these are seen or unseen. We welcome neurodiverse people. We welcome and respect people from all religious backgrounds as well as those who are atheist or agnostic.
The Guild therefore strives to work considerately and respectfully with all, respecting diversity, different roles and boundaries and avoiding giving offence.
